Singer is a deaf-mute who meets Mick, a young girl who wants to be a concert pianist. Singer's small world brings them together. Mick at first doesn't like Singer, but he soon becomes friends with him. Mick wants to expand his small world. It's not just Singer who helps these three other main characters. Each of them sees him as a powerful person.
