The minister of an once vibrant, landmark Baptist church, now struggling to survive, is the single hold-out in a rotting Philadelphia community allocated for gentrification. Yet eventually, the preacher's cold-blooded willpower to protect his family members's evangelical legacy in the neighborhood and diminishing members liquifies under unrelenting pressure from his status-seeking wife and money grubbing church leaders-- Lured by money kickbacks and guarantees from deceitful designers to establish a showy "mega-ministry" elsewhere. Quickly, the spirits of establishing congregational members-- stirred from the disquiet of their graves by the remorseless trespasses of one more generation-- begin to make their displeasure recognized. As the sinners-- abruptly as well as inexplicably bound within the confines of the refuge-- loss prey, they have to all re-examine their choices and also bow to the will of the covenant ... just to reveal the exemplary amongst them.
