The Resting Beauty holds an unique location in The Royal Dancing's repertory. It was the ballet with which the Company reopened the Royal Opera House in 1946 after The Second World War, its initial manufacturing at its brand-new home in Covent Garden. Margot Fonteyn danced the function of the stunning Princess Aurora in the sneak preview, with Robert Helpmann as Royal Prince Florimund.
