Soren, a barn owl, is contested by OWL-S of all St. Aggie's, apparently an orphanage, where owlets are brainwashed into becoming allies. He and his new friends escape into the island of Ga'Hoole, to assist its noble, wise owls that struggle the army being created by the evil principles of St. Aggie's. The film relies on the very first three books.
