Overview:
Behrani, an Iranian immigrant buys a California bungalow, thinking they will fix it up, sell it and also make enough money to send his child into faculty. The house will be former drug addict Kathy's legal property. After losing the house in an legal dispute with the county, she's left with nowhere to go. She befriends a police officer and hires a lawyer. Neither Kathy nor Behrani have violated the law, therefore they find themselves involved in a difficult moral dilemma.
