British army sergeants Cutter, Ballantine and MacChesney serve during the 1880s, Gunga Din, along with their native Water Bearer. After completing a telegraph-repair assignment that is dangerous, they exude signs of the suppressed Thuggee cult. The Thuggees captures the Cutter when Gunga Din informs the sergeants about a temple made of gold, which is as much as his friends.
