Overview:
In the wake of his wife's death, Frank Fogle reluctantly sets off on a voyage to Ireland to fulfill her final request to scatter her ashes at a lonely lake in her native country and to bring his estranged son, Sean, along for the ride. Upon Sean's release from prison, he has no desire to travel to a distant country with his estranged father. In California, he can get a new start. Even though he has no intention of ever seeing his father again, he reluctantly agrees to his father's proposition in exchange for a ticket to the West Coast. There is an Irish wake, a resurfacing of an old flame, an attractive hitchhiker and lots of unresolved issues that make the voyage more complicated than expected.
