Overview:
Coupling is actually a television sitcom written by Steven Moffat which aired on BBC2 from May 2000 . Manufactured by Hartswood Films for the BBC, the series centres online dating and sexual experiences and injuries of six friends in their twenties, usually depicting the 3 women and also the 3 men each talking among themselves about the same events, but in entirely different terms. The relationship of Moffat inspired the series with producer Sue Vertue, to the extent that they gave up their names. Coupling is a good instance of the"group-genre", an outfit show that had shown famous at the time. The series was compared by critics to Seinfeld and the sitcoms Friends. The critical reaction was largely positive, and also the series has been named"Best TV Comedy" at the 2003 British Comedy Awards. Its prevalence increased and at the conclusion of the third series the series had achieved ratings in the UK, although the series debuted to unimpressive ratings. The series began airing on BBC America in the United States and about PBS channels in 2002 and quickly gained a devoted fan base. The series is all about around the universe. Adaptations and American were briefly produced in 2007 and 2003 .
