It's in the Gospels of Matthew, Mark, and Luke that you can read about the Temptation of Christ. People who read these texts say that after he was baptized by John the Baptist, Jesus went on a fast for 40 days and 40 nights in the Judaean Desert. It was at this time that Satan tried to tempt Jesus and he didn't want to do it. After he turned down all of Satan's temptations, Jesus went back to Galilee to start his work there as a servant.
